Please note that your privacy is of immense importance to us. The Big Talks respects your privacy and shall comply with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our News Platform. The Big Talks uses your information to provide the Services that are mentioned in the Terms of Service.

This privacy policy shall be effective and legally binding as soon as you start using the News Platform and shall remain in effect unless you are notified to the contrary.

You agree that we shall be entitled to process such information as per this privacy policy as soon as you start submitting your information with us.

This News Platform may also contain different links to third party News Platforms. These third party News Platforms may be governed by their own respective privacy policies. We do not accept any liability for third party News Platform policies and the way in which they will process your information. a.  In the event that your provision of information to us is necessary for us to provide you the Services, or where your information shall be required for us to comply with all necessary and applicable legal obligations.

b.  By taking your consent. If you consent to our use of your information, then we shall be entitled to use the same for the reasons specified in this policy. At any point in time, you shall be entitled to withdraw such consent from us.

c.  In the event there are any legal claims and such information is required for necessary protection and defence of such legal claim, or to file a counterclaim to against any party, including you and any other third party.

d.  In the event we need your information to secure any legitimate interest. However, we use our best efforts to ensure that such interests are only secured if they are more important than your data protection rights. 

We may use the information stated above for the following reasons (a) to ensure that all our obligations to you are properly met. This may include legal and contractual obligations; (b) to ensure that reasonable access is provided to you of the News Platform; (c) to display and advertise you the Services; (d) to provide you with the details of our Services. This may include but is not limited to promotional and marketing details; (e) for the analysis of the performance of our Services, understand needs and requirements of our users and to ensure that the Services are made better from time to time; (g) to ensure that our users can participate in the interactive features of the News Platform; (h) to provide you with important information in relation to our News Platform and the Services.

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need to. This time period may depend on what we are using your information for, in accordance with this privacy policy. If your personal information is no longer required, we will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you. 

However, if necessary, we may retain your personal information for our compliance with a legal, accounting, or reporting obligation or for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific, or historical research purposes or statistical purposes.

We ensure that the access to personal information is restricted to only those persons who need it. The retention periods are primarily based on needs of the business.

 

6.  RIGHTS OF THE USER

Under this privacy policy and applicable laws, rules and regulations, you shall have the following rights:

a.  Withhold personal information from us, with the understanding that your experience of our News Platform may be affected. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights over your personal information. You retain the right to request details of any personal information we hold about you.

d.  To request that we provide you with copy of personal data provided to us. This right may be exercised without any charges. However, this is only limited to first copy that you request. If you request for any subsequent copies, we shall be entitled to charge you for the same.

e.  You have the right to complete erasure of your data if we are non-compliant with this privacy policy or any other applicable laws. You may also ask to process your data in a restricted manner. 

f.   We use reasonable efforts to ensure that the personal information provided to us is accurately secured. However, you have the right to rectify the same at any point in time by updating the details on the News Platform.

g.  You have the right to receive data which have been provided to us in an electronic readable format. You can also access such information on the News Platform and download the same for your convenience.

Please note that if you ask us to stop processing your data, then this will mean that you will no longer be able to access our services, particularly those services which require us to use your personal data. 

In the event you request us to erase or rectify your data, we may also notify third parties to treat such data in the same manner. However, they shall have the right to process the data in any manner they deem fit.

At our discretion, we may change our privacy policy to reflect updates to current acceptable practices, our business processes and / or legislative or regulatory changes. If we decide to change this privacy policy, we will post the changes here at the same link by which you are accessing this privacy policy. You should familiarize yourself with the same to remain updated with the latest version of the privacy policy.

If required by law, we will get your permission or give you the opportunity to opt in to or opt out of, as applicable, any new uses of your personal information.
